About Our Group

Over the past decade the Badminton Group has become established as a vibrant and enjoyable U3A activity that seeks to create a positive social atmosphere in a sporting environment adapted to all strengths and abilities.  The group is highly supportive of its members, whether or not they have previous experience of playing Badminton. We are also fortunate to have a number of very experienced members who are happy to help others gain the most from each session.  We place emphasis on playing with a wide variety of partners each week, in a light and friendly atmosphere.

We meet in the Sports Hall of the Polideportivo in Oliva from 9-11 am each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from early September to end June. A playing fee of 1.50 Euros per person per hour is charged to cover hire of the courts, lights and other charges. Periodically over the year, we also organise social events for members, their friends and families.

We are always pleased to welcome new and returning players, whether you are active sportsmen and women, haven’t played since your school days or have never played before. So don’t hesitate to contact us if you´d like to give it a try.
