About Our Group
Classes start at 11:30 a.m. and the first hour is dedicated to beginners. From 12:30 a.m to 13:30, our teacher guides us through more complex dances.
IMPORTANT: Please read the basic information all dancers need to know by clicking here
Our instructor is Nigel Hobman and he has been teaching our group for 4+ years. His enthusiasm for dancing is infectious and we are taught the latest dances along with Golden Oldies in a fun environment. These days, not all Line Dancing is to Country and Western music, so don’t worry if you’re not a big Country music fan. Nigel has a wide range of music so there are sure to be other songs that you’ll enjoy.
The cost is 5 Euros weekly, on a pay as you come basis. If you have any questions or you’d like to find out more about us, please contact our Group Leader. Line dancers can get a list of dances and more information on how to obtain stepsheets and view videos of our new dances by clicking here
Benefits of Dance
There are so many benefits to dancing. Let’s take a look at the mental and physical benefits of dancing.
Many Dancing styles including Line Dancing, Country dancing, ballroom dancing, etc. are done with others. When you participate in these dances, you’re involved in a beneficial social activity as well. You are also cognitively stimulating your brain as you learn the steps to the dances. Dancing therefore might be one of the best physical activities you can choose for brain health.
