Group Venues for 2021-22

The Ajuntament d’Oliva have kindly allowed us to use rooms in several of their buildings again this year.

These include:

‘Pensionistes’ – (real name: Llar De Jubilats I Pensionistes) – on the N332, opposite Spar – for a map see here. The rooms available to us for a variety of groups are (1) a medium sized room with mirrors on the first floor, and (2) a large room with mirrors and stage area on the second floor. There is a lift in the building, and toilet facilities on each floor. We are also able to have small groups meet in the Restaurant / Bar area on the ground floor at any time (e.g. card-playing groups, crafting, etc).

‘el Bastidor’ – (real name: Centro Parroquial Fray Humilde de Soria) –  on the corner of Carrer Virgen de la Mare de Deu del Rebollet and Carrer Calderería, Oliva – for a map see here. We use the side entrance on Carrer Caldereria. The room available to us is on the first floor – there are stairs, but no lift. Toilet facilities are available. Three of our Spanish groups take place here, maximum 10 people in the room.

‘CPC’ – (real name: Centro De Participación Ciudadana Pinet) – on Carrer Eras de Juan, Oliva – for a map see here. Room bookings are now confirmed – the main hall can hold around 25 people seated, whilst the SR2 room downstairs is restricted to a maximum of 10 people plus the tutor, i.e. 11 in total.

We may also be able to use the Polivalent or San Francesc centre from time to time, subject to discussions with the Ajuntament.

Group Leaders: if you would like to use any of these venues, please contact the Group Co-Ordinator to discuss.

Other groups take place at cafes / bars, gardens, sports fields and elsewhere, as arranged by Group Leaders.

Current restrictions due to Covid-19 (8 Sept 2021)
All attendees must use antibacterial handwash on entering any building.
Masks must be worn throughout (we are awaiting advice for groups which are physically active).
Only bottled water to be taken into rooms.
Windows to be open throughout sessions, and closed on leaving.
Furniture in any room should NOT be moved.
Attendees to stay in the room during sessions, except for toilet breaks.
Groups to finish a few minutes early to ensure the room is empty on time.

Group Leaders are responsible for ensuring that their whole group adheres to these restrictions – and to sweep up and remove any debris, wipe / spray down all surfaces touched, making sure to turn lights off and leave windows closed when leaving the room.

As and when we receive any further changes to restrictions, they will be included here and will be emailed to all Group Leaders.
