Why not join us for a lovely Christmas Day stroll and picnic on 25th December. It's a great way to celebrate the festive season, and work off some of the chocolates we've all been eating. It's becoming a u3a Oliva tradition!
This year's Christmas walk is around the town of Salem. It's about a 40 minute drive from Oliva, But some people will be car sharing no doubt.
This walk is 4k in total. The first 2k is a bit hilly, but that means it's all downhill back to Salem. And if anyone will struggle with the walking, then the walk leader will also be driving along and can offer a lift.
And we'll be sharing a great festive picnic too. Everyone brings something for the group to share - usually festive tapas and Cava. Bring whatever you think is suitable, not forgetting cutlery and plates

Stout footwear is recommended. Dogs are welcome, but should be kept under control at the back of the walk.
Walk leader Joe will keep a careful eye on the weather, and will confirm by email that morning if there are any issues.
Getting there
- Take CV60 from Gandia. Leave CV60 signposted to Rafol de Salem CV 615 (don’t go to Rafol). Turn right on to the CV614 to Salem. As you enter Salem, Bar L'Era is on your right hand side.
- It takes about 40 minutes to get to Salem from Oliva.
- You can park in front of Bar L’Era or in the side road to the left of the Bar. If you need to car share please email the walk leader
- We meet 11:00 at the Bar L'Era Salem for coffee
