Attention all U3A Amblers and Walkers.

First Amble of the season
|
|
As it is still hot and sticky I feel a shaded walk in the woods will prove a cooler choice of Amble. Our next amble will be Ruta Raco Del Duc Villalonga on the 20th September. A very scenic amble with stunning views and lots of water and wildlife to please the eye.

We will meet at 10.30am for coffee at Bar Ca Elsa in Villalonga and commence the amble at 11.00am. After coffee we will travel in convoy to the start of the amble which is about two kilometre out of town. We will return for lunch around 2:00pm. I will advise our lunch venue soon.

Some roads are paved, some gravel tracks, a selection of rough or loose rocky tracks and some dirt paths. Mostly level with the occasional incline. REMEMBER TO BRING A TORCH.

How to get there: Travel westward on CV638 from Oliva in the direction of La Font left /south on to the CV680 heading in the direction of Potries and Villalonga. As you enter Villalonga town center turn right at the pigmy round-a-bout, on to Carr De Ador 46720, travel 150m and Bar Ca Elsa should be on your left and the Chinese shop on the right/opposite.

The weather forecast for the 20th is currently good, however it can change. Please check your e-mails on the morning before setting off to join the amble. If you have not already supplied a telephone and/or membership number, please do so ASAP.
