Join us for a fabulous trip to where the Med meets the Mar Menor.
Enjoy great views of the sea, take a dip in the pool, or spend the day strolling along the beach. And with your hotel room, breakfast, evening meal and bus trip included, it's brilliant value.
The Hotel Izán Cavanna is a 4 star hotel in a wonderful location on the 22 km sand bar that separates the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor, down near Cartagena. The inland saltwater lagoon, is the largest in Spain, with an area of 135 km sq, but known for its calm waters. That location means great sea views on either side of the sand bar.
Enjoy the great views of the sea from your hotel room, or from the poolside, where you can relax on a sun lounger and soak up the sunshine. Take a dip in the large pool to cool off or do some exercise. Alternatively, you can stroll down to the beach and spend the day unwinding on the fine sands. Return to the Hotel Izán Cavanna and enjoy the health and beauty treatments on offer, or relax in the sauna. And finish off the day by going for dinner in the on-site restaurant, where you can sample Mediterranean and international-style cuisine.
What's included
Your u3a trip includes your hotel accommodation, breakfast and your evening meal too. And of course, your coach transfer, with pick ups around Oliva and in Gandia too.
On the outward journey we are currently negotiating a stop at Catral for lunch before heading to the hotel to check in. On the return journey we will check out at 12.00 and head for Cartegena and make a stop for a couple of hours for sightseeing or lunch.

To secure your space you'll need to pay a 50€ deposit per person, and confirm the names of the people sharing each room. There is limited availability of some room types, so please book as soon as you can. We'll contact you by email to confirm how to pay the remaining balance for your trip.
