What's planned?
If you want to do something different on Christmas Day, then why not join Joe and Tina on a lovely walk, and to share a lovely festive picnic. It's a great way to kick off your Christmas Day!
This year they'll be heading out for a 4km walk around Rafol de Salem.
What you need to know
We'll meet at 11:00 at the Bar L'Era Salem, and after coffee, we'll drive in convoy to the start of the walk.
It's a 4km walk in total, and whilst it's a bit hilly for the first 2k, it's a nice downhill walk back to Salem. Stout footwear recommended. Dogs are welcome but should be kept under control at the rear.
The festive picnic is to share. We lay tables with Christmas tablecloths and spread out the goodies. We usually take a selection of festive foods and tapas to share plus Cava. So please bring whatever you think is suitable, not forgetting cutlery and plates.
Getting there
It takes about 40 minutes to get to Salem from Oliva. Take CV60 from Gandia. Leave CV60 signposted to Rafol de Salem CV 615 (don’t go to Rafol). Turn right onto the CV614 to Salem. As you enter Salem, Bar L'Era is on your right-hand side.
You can park in front of Bar L’Era or in the road to the left of the Bar. If you need to car share please email the walk leader.
If bad weather occurs, walk leader Joe, will email everyone on the evening before the walk and again by 09:30 on Christmas morning to confirm.
