With an ideal mix of strategy and luck, cribbage is a game that has endured the test of time and won the adoration of millions since its inception in the early 17th century. The game is still played with most of the original rules intact and requires only two items to play – a standard deck of cards and a wood cribbage board.
This is our second year of running Cribbage which officially is starting this September, although many have played throughout the summer recess period.
We would like to welcome any newcomers that have an interest in the game from experienced to those wishing to learn. This is a very friendly and social group who enjoy playing Cribbage for fun.
We also play “Kings Cribbage” a board game version of the card game. If you have played Cribbage before it is relatively easy to pick up. Great fun once you start to see some of those bigger cribbage scoring hands and bonuses.
Whether you're a brand new player or a regular one, why not come and join us for a game or two - every Wednesday afternoon. The group now has 20 members, so there's lots of people around for games.
