The u3a Oliva Drama and Cultural Association (aka Oliva Drama), is a collection of fun people who like to perform. The group are excited to be part of u3a and want to extend their reach to many more fun-loving individuals with a hankering to perform.

Auditions
The next performance by u3a Drama will be "Exit Laughing" by Paul Elliott. It's a comedy, with some serious undertones, with performances in early 2027.
The group are looking to fill a number of roles, and are keen for u3a members to audition. You don't need extensive experience, just the desire to get up on stage.
Auditions were held in late June 2026, but just email if you’d like to get involved.
Our past productions
The Spring showstopper "A Bad Day at the Office" was full of sketches and songs, with performances on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June,
Group Leader Cheryl said "Despite the many challenges associated with our Spring 2026 show, "A Bad Day at the Office" was a rip-roaring success for both the Drama group and our audience members. We had a blast putting it on! On to the next show!"

Our Christmas 2025 performance
The last show was "Who Killed Santa?", a rip roaring comedy farce, full of laughs.
Here's what the group leader Cheryl Speer had to say: Congratulations to the Drama Group on their successful run of "Who Killed Santa?" in December. The cast and crew had a super fun time and thank everyone who came to see the show and support us. Our next show will be a variety show in Spring 2026. Be sure to join us either as a participant or audience member!

Our Spring 2025 performance
Congratulations to everyone in the Drama Group for a successful and fun production of "The Retirement of the Witches of Ipswich" on 9 and 10 May 2025! We all worked diligently to put this show on and are grateful to everyone who came to see it. Thank you for your support, and we look forward to our next production!
